People I Refuse to Work With. Yep, They Exist.
In April 2024, I made one of the scariest—and most freeing—decisions of my life. After eight years of running a business in a niche I didn't really enjoy, under the weight (and oversight) of a silent partner who had their own expectations, I started over. I launched Couillard Creative Consulting (C3) with one simple goal: to build something that felt totally and completely like me.
And I'll be real here. Starting over isn’t all sunshine and social media-worthy wins. It’s messy, and exhausting, and fucking terrifying. I’m not yet at a point where I can breathe easy about finances—I stress DAILY about finding the next client, the next paycheck, and the next way forward. I have a family that means everything to me, and I stay up nights worrying about letting them down. But here’s the thing: I'd rather do this—on my own terms, in my own way—than live another day building something that doesn't make me happy or feel like it upholds my personal values and morals.
And, so, because these values are the foundation of everything I do in my life, I want to make something abundantly and undeniably clear:
C3 will not work with anyone who supports fascism.
I don’t care who you are, how you were raised, or what your excuse is.
If you know me at all—or even if you’ve simply been to my website to see what I'm all about—you know that I have a special passion for working with women, the LGBTQ+ community, and minorities. My mission is to help these communities tell their stories, amplify their voices, and build something they can take pride in.
There’s no space for hate, bigotry, or oppression in my life—or in my business. My focus is on uplifting women and marginalized communities, not catering to those who perpetuate harm against them.
I’m aware that saying this could cost me followers, leads, or business, but if standing by my values makes my journey to success harder, so be it. At least I’ll know that I’m building something that makes me proud, something that hopefully helps others.
To those of you who share this vision, thank you for your support. It means the world. Let's keep fighting together for the future of humanity.
