Think About It: Why Are YOU Loyal?
QUESTION: When you think about the companies you're most loyal to, I bet that loyalty has nothing to do with their sales numbers, how many employees they have, or even - let's be totally honest here - their product or service. (After all, many companies offer the same thing, but SOMETHING besides the actual deliverable got your attention!)
I bet what you're remembering is how they made you FEEL. Was it empowered? Seen? Attended to? Did they speak to you from a place of knowledge, as well as one of empathy and compassion? Do you feel like they understand who you are and what you're trying to achieve (whether personally or professionally)? How did you feel when you completed your last interaction with them?
This is why here at C3, I approach branding from a very human perspective. Because no matter what it is you're offering to people, the most important thing you can do for them, is make them FEEL something. And what you choose to make them feel is the very core of your brand identity.
